Souk day and the Travelling Zoo

Wednesday 4th April

Liher, Diana, Tierra and Zacarias
It's souk day again! That means we've been here two weeks now and will have to think about moving on soon. But not today. Having such smiley neighbours as these four has been fun so we'll stay a few more days to enjoy a little more of their company.

It's Tierra's turn to drive to the Souk. Their van is a Merc 508 and has many similarities with our own, even the same engine. The one thing it doesn't share with our van is the rust! Although it is two years older than ours, it is like a new vehicle in comparison. We think it must be our proximity to the sea, what else can it be?

Zacarias at a stall full of all the things you might need one day but until then, just looking!

Aourir
Aourir is where the Souk takes place and also is the turn off for the famous Paradise Valley. I won't put more souk pictures on today's blog as last weeks photos will do, especially as there are lots more images of today to come!

The Travelling zoo refers to Liher and Diana whom I have already mentioned, so I thought a few images of them all would go down well.

Diana, Liher, two cats, a ferret and a dog
They all fit into the van which is bigger inside than it looks, which is lucky because they are on the road for two years! Liher is from Vitoria in the Basque country and Diana is from Barcelona. They have been planning this trip for two years and want to tell their story so go to www.africajotan.com to follow the adventures on their blog. A lovely couple, we wish them luck.

The puppy is a Moroccan and they saved it after a car had hit it and now it's theirs. I don't know the names of the animals but I'm sure their blog does!

Great photos
. More photos than words today! Phew, what a relief I hear you say! Sometimes the photos can do the talking and others, I just waffle on!

Hope you are all well
lots of love
