8th April
What a warm and sunny day it has been today, this Easter Sunday! Not, of course, would you know that here in Morocco. It is just another day and the town is out in force, enjoying the beautiful weather and warm sea!
They love the seaside as much as we do and make the most of it.
We start our day with a well needed wash! Not very interesting you might well think but as we are now mud people, I thought the subject might be amusing! The photos certainly are.

excuse the man boobs and the nose, I hope it's the sunshine and shadows |
After coating ourselves in the ghasool and allowing it to dry, we went for a swim in the sea to freshen up and wash the mud out of our hair! A quick rinse afterwards in fresh water and we were as fresh as daisies. Hair feels good too, all these soaps and conditioners we normally use and all that's really needed is some mud? What a pair of old hippies we've become!
The rest of the day, we did our best to keep cool and yet busy. I changed the radiator water to a mixture of anti freeze as no more leaks are expected. Krysia crochet project is coming on well.

Colourful Sidi Ifni |
Late afternoon sees us walking into town to find a souk still in progress, with figs, dates and honey being bought at good prices. The honey man gave us a taste of cactus honey which left an after taste similar to chilli peppers but in the throat! At 200 dhs a pot we decided to go for the delicious orange blossom honey at 50 dhs! We were also not at all sure we liked the hot afterglow, A medicinal honey perhaps?
Souks are always a pleasure just to walk around and this one was just that

As the sun went down, we wandered the town and market which were crowded with friendly folk going about their business. We were welcomed as visitors by random people, one older chap ran up to us and kissed us on our cheeks with a hearty hello! the people here are so friendly! Another man said he had friends in Wales and didn't try to take us to a shop! Just hello.
Camped right next to the sea as we are, we settle in for the night to the sound of crashing waves
